Talk Turkey to Me

Kingswood is enveloped in a warm, yet white winter bizarre.

Early preparation for a wonderful and memorable meal with the family.

With Sugar and spice and everything nice!

The Cox household gathers together to give thanks to the glorious God above.

Sarah eagerly waits to fill her plate with tasty Thanksgiving treats!

“There’s nothing like waking up to the smell of turkey roasting and pumpkin spices!” Says Sarah Thanksgiving morning. “I wouldn’t trade it for the world.”
For the Cox family, Thanksgiving is traditionally a time of thankfulness. On Thanksgiving Day the Cox household was full of hard workers and joyful laughter. Like usual Vanessa, or Momma Cox, was preparing the food with the help of her two twin daughters, Sarah and Alana, while Lieutenant Colonel Cox, or Daddy Cox, was setting up the table and cleaning after the messy workers.
Around 1 o’clock the Cox family set the table, said their prayers, then DUG IN! As they ate they discussed the meaning of Thanksgiving and the passed year. To the Cox family Thanksgiving is about being thankful for Jesus Christ dying on the cross to save them for their sins. They spend this time talking about how wonderful of a life they live, and how blessed they are to have such wonderful people in their lives. Vanessa stated that her favorite Verse from the bible is: 1 Timothy 4:4-5, For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. The Cox family takes Thanksgiving seriously. Although they spend a lot of it cracking jokes and having a good time, in the end they use this time to remember all the amazing things God has done for them and all the amazing things that are yet to come.
