Photojournalism Project Proposal
I'm going to take photos of my family during the Thanksgiving Break. I'm going to ask what the time (Thanksgiving) means to them and what they are thankful for. I'm basically just photographing this religious time for my family and asking them questions on their feelings towards it.

Portraiture
7 Finished Pieces
Expression Panel
My Thoughts....
I really enjoyed this assignment, I loved being able to work with my best friend and being able to pretty much choose what my pictures were of, how my model looked and where we were. I think my model really enjoyed this assignment(we worked together) and I think most people will find that these are GREAT photos of her. I think the most challenging aspect of this assignment was choosing 7 photo's out of all the ones I took.

This assignment was so much fun. Not only because I got to take pictures with my best friend but because we were in NEW YORK! it was such a blast and this was definitely my favorite assignment.

Elaine Gates Recap
1. I learned that lighting can be a huge advantage when taking photo's outdoors, natural light is the best light, and that taking pictures in the evening is the best lighting.
2. I also learned that when taking photos of people you have to just be open with them, tell them what you think looks best don't hesitate to tell them how to stand, where to go, what face to make, etc.
3. She also said its easiest to take good pictures of people that enjoy getting their pictures taken, if they don't its hard to work with them.
